    How do I choose the right weight?

    For the right weight, choose approximately 10% of your own body weight. Also check our handy size chart for an overview.

    Washing instructions

    In principle, you can simply wash our weighted blankets in the washing machine at 40 degrees. However, most washing machines are not suitable for the weight of a weighted blanket. That is why we recommend using the weighted blanket with a removable protective cover around it. This cotton or bamboo cover can be washed easily and keeps your blanket nice and fresh. In addition, the cover allows you to match your blanket to your interior.

    What does a weighted blanket do?

    A weighted blanket works through Deep Pressure Stimulation (DPS): gentle, even pressure across your whole body, similar to a firm hug. This pressure calms your nervous system. Your body produces more serotonin and melatonin, while levels of the stress hormone cortisol drop. This helps you fall asleep more easily, sleep more deeply, and wake up feeling more rested. During the day too, whether you’re on the sofa or taking a quiet moment, the blanket can help you release tension.

    On this page, you can choose the blanket that suits you in three steps. First, the size: from a small blanket for toddlers to a double blanket measuring 240 x 220 cm. Next, choose the weight that goes with that size. Not sure? Enter your height and body weight, and we’ll show you which blanket is our top recommendation for you. Finally, choose whether you’d like a cover too. A cotton, bamboo, or minky cover keeps your blanket looking good for longer and gives you a 10% bundle discount.

    What size and weight are right for you?

    As a rule of thumb, choose a blanket that weighs about 10% of your body weight. If you weigh 70 kg, a 7 kg blanket is a good fit. For children, also consider their height: up to about 110 cm, 90 x 120 cm is a comfortable size; up to 135 cm, 100 x 150 cm. If you sleep together, the 240 x 220 cm blanket is ideal.
